Solar Storm

In class we have been talking about magnets and how the Earth has it's own magnetic field, including learning about how the Aurora Borealis is formed and viewed. Then this week (perfect timing!) I came across the following article about how the Aurora could be seen as far south as the middle of the US. I then found the following pictures of the Aurora seen from Phillips Exeter! The kids were so excited to hear that it could be seen so close to home! I have included the link below to the article we read and the picture I showed them.
