Field Trip Information

On Thursday 10/30 we will be traveling to Sandy Point in Stratham. Please be sure your student dresses in layers and proper footwear for walking around on dirt or muddy trails. Remember to bring a lunch, but no glass bottles please. If you checked off a lunch provided by the school the students will receive their lunch here and is taken care of. We are looking forward to a great day!

Measuring the Wind

During our weather unit we study various types of weather instruments. Today we were fortunate to have a slight breeze to use our anemometers to measure the wind speed. We talked about the Beaufort Wind Scale and used the table to determine how fast in miles per hour the wind was traveling.

Cloud in a Jar

      Today in Science we made a cloud in a jar. We used weather and water vocabulary such as condenses, evaporates, etc. The students were excited to see the cloud come floating out of the container. We used our science observation journal to write about our procedure, make a hypothesis, make a conclusion and our reactions.
